Keep It Current

Breaking up is hard, and we’d hate to have to disconnect you. Check the due date of your payment by looking at the top right of your bill. Failure to pay in a timely fashion usually results in service disconnection, scheduled for the second Sunday in every month.

To be reconnected, you may need to pay a security deposit in addition to paying your balance and a reconnect fee.

Q: How does the 093 billing-information number work?

A: Like magic. Get details on your GTT services by calling the toll-free number and following the interactive prompts. You’ll need an invoice number from a bill dated within the last three months. Enter your information and you can check your balance as well as payments made to date.

 

Land Line FAQs

Q: Can I change from one plan to another during the course of the month?

A: Well, yes … and no. GTT is happy to accept your change request, however, the new plan won’t go into effect until the first of the following month.

 

Mobile FAQs

Q: How do I stop SMS notifications from GTT?

A: Text the word “STOP” to 640-9997, and consider it done.

 

Q: How can I check my pre-paid balance?

A: Just dial *100*2*4# to request the balance on your pre-paid account. Psst: it’s a free service.

 

Q: How can I sign up for the new discounted rate to the US & Canada?

A: You’re already signed up! GTT gives everyone the savings – because we’re nice like that.

 

Q: What do I need to do before traveling to the US or Canada?

A: Pack. Then postpaid customers should contact Customer Care to activate roaming on your account and review your usage limit so you’re covered for your trip. Prepaid subscribers don’t need to do anything; your account is automatically deducted as you place + receive calls.

 

Q: What do I need to do when I arrive in the US or Canada?

A: Shout “Hello, North America!” and then power on your mobile phone. Select Settings >> Network >> Manual Network >> and Roaming Partner. Choose AT&T in the US, and Bell, Telus or Rogers in Canada.  Note: or Rogers in Canada.

 

Q: What does the new discounted rate include?

A: A lot of great stuff! Here are the rates broken down in GYD and USD.

GYD Prices

  • $72/minute for inbound and outbound calls while roaming in the US and Canada (includes calls made to US, Canada and Guyana.)
  • $31/SMS Mobile Origination (MO) when in the US or Canada
  • No Charge for SMS Mobile Termination (MT)
  • $0.10/KB for data sessions while roaming in the US and Canada
  • No Subscription Fee!! This is an exclusive benefit for GTT; competitors charge a fee.

 

USD Figures

  • 0.35/minute for inbound and outbound calls while roaming in the US and Canada (includes calls made to US, Canada and Guyana.)
  • $0.15/SMS MO when in the US or Canada
  • No Charge for SMS Mobile Termination (MT)
  • $0.0005/KB for data sessions while roaming in the US and Canada

 

Q: What frequency bands are in Canada & US?

A: 850 and 1900. (That was easy; ask us another question!)

 

Q: How do I make a local call or how do I call Guyana while roaming?

A: For a local call in the US or Canada, dial the area code and number. To call Guyana from the US or Canada, dial +592 (the country code) and the number you’re trying to reach. If you want to call other countries, enter the + key, the country code and the number you’re trying to reach.
