In association with the Guyana Cancer Foundation, GTT presents Pinktober, a month of activities all geared towards Breast Cancer Awareness.

GTT Pinktober Activities

September 25 to October 19- Free Fitness Training for Runners with “Marathon Man” Leslie Black at the National Park (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday @ 5:00pm)

October 2- Launch Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 8- Church Service at the Brickdam Cathedral, @ 5:00pm

October 6, 13 and 20- Pink Fridays w/Unlimited Music (Wear pink every Friday and visit any GTT Store for special offers)

October 13- International No-Bra Day

October 17- Pink Dinners at Palm Court

October 20- International Mammography Day

October 21- GTT &Guyana Cancer Foundation 5k/10k Walk / Run @5:45am

October 28- GTT Night of the Stars

November 4- GTT Celebration of Life with Travis Greene and Saiku 

November 18- GTT Smile Guyana with Chronixx

What is GTT Pinktober?

All of the money that you donate stays within the community and goes towards increasing awareness of breast cancer through early detection, mammogram screenings and supporting the efforts of opening a lab that will be dedicated to detecting cervical cancer. In Guyana the highest incidence of cervical cancer is among our indigenous community, we are committed to doing something to stop the spread of this disease in our own community.

Does any money from Pinktober go towards breast cancer support programs and how much?

Over $500 of every Pinktober transaction goes directly to the Guyana Cancer Foundation. And all proceeds from any other fundraising event that held during Pinktober go the Guyana Cancer Foundation. The Guyana Cancer Foundation will use these donations to continue increasing awareness of Breast Cancer and all Cancers and offer early detection

Is there a cap to the amount that GTT Pinktober will donate to the Guyana Cancer Foundation?

No.

How does Pinktober help identify the risk factors concerning breast cancer?

Through the use of our primary media partner Hits and Jams we will focus on increasing the awareness of breast cancer.
